Impact & Outcome Report
Harbor Bridge Works
A clear, evidence-based picture of the organization’s impact, with every figure traced to a participant record.
A Letter From The Executive Director.
This year, 412 people came through our doors looking for steady work, and this report shows exactly what happened next. We measured it, we are proud of most of it, and we are honest about the rest. Every number here traces back to a participant record, referenced by code, never by name.
Dana Whitfield, Executive Director, Harbor Bridge Works
What The Score Is Made Of.
Funders evaluate seven readiness domains. The Readiness Score is the average of where the organization stands on each, from 0 to 100.
Bylaws, board roster, and conflict policy are current and consistent across every application.
Audited financials and program budgets reconcile; indirect cost documentation is still being organized.
Intake, milestone, and follow-up data captured for 96 percent of active participants, referenced by code.
Quarterly outcome reports delivered on time; the reporting calendar is current through the period.
Core narratives are reusable, but two funders supply 63 percent of revenue and concentration is the top risk.
Registrations are active; past performance and bid decision records for competitive contracts are not yet assembled.
Systems are documented, though key knowledge still sits with one or two staff.
Results Against The Targets Funders Set.
Targets were agreed with funders at the start of the fiscal year. Bars show actuals; the dark marker shows the target.
The Programs Behind The Numbers.
Job-Ready Training.
A twelve week cohort program covering workplace readiness, credentials, and coached job search. 318 enrolled across nine cohorts; 251 completed.
Bridge Placement.
Direct placement through 34 employer partners for participants who need work before they can train. 94 participants entered; 61 were placed.
Anchor Support.
Six months of post-placement coaching. Retention at six months is the number funders watch most, and it is why the organization invests here.
Participant Outcomes, By Code.
| Program | Enrolled | Completed | Placed | At six months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Job-Ready Training | 318 | 251 (79%) | 176 | 129 of 182 reachable |
| Bridge Placement | 94 | n/a | 61 | 44 of 58 reachable |
| Anchor Support | 203 | 187 (92%) | n/a | n/a |
How These Numbers Were Measured.
Enrollment and completion come from program records captured at each session. Placement is verified with the employer or a pay stub. Six month employment counts only participants who could be reached, and the reachable denominator is stated rather than hidden. Wages are medians of verified placements. Participants are referenced by code throughout; no personally identifying information leaves the organization’s systems.
53 placed participants could not be reached at six months and are excluded from the retention rate, not counted as employed. An honest denominator is what makes the rest of this report credible.
