Executive summary

A Letter From The Executive Director.

This year, 412 people came through our doors looking for steady work, and this report shows exactly what happened next. We measured it, we are proud of most of it, and we are honest about the rest. Every number here traces back to a participant record, referenced by code, never by name.

Dana Whitfield, Executive Director, Harbor Bridge Works

Funder Ready

The Impact Score is 71 out of 100. Statuses below are shown exactly as the platform reports them: outcomes measured from participant data are labeled measured, and readiness judgments are labeled judgments. Nothing unmeasured is presented as measured.

Your five outcomes

What The Score Is Made Of.

Funders evaluate five things. The Impact Score is the sum of where the organization stands on each, scored out of 20.

Community Engagement16 / 20
Measured from participant data

Recruitment events, employer partnerships, and referral activity ran on schedule in eleven of twelve months.

Participant Data Capture16 / 20
Measured from participant data

Intake, milestone, and follow-up data captured for 96 percent of active participants, referenced by code.

Impact Documentation15 / 20
Measured from participant data

Quarterly outcome reports delivered on time; evidence library current through the reporting period.

Grant Readiness13 / 20
Readiness judgment

Core documents current; two foundation-level criteria in progress and federal documentation not yet started.

Funding Stability11 / 20
Readiness judgment

Two funders supply 63 percent of revenue. Renewal evidence is strong, but concentration remains the top risk.

The programs

The Programs Behind The Numbers.

Job-Ready Training.

A twelve week cohort program covering workplace readiness, credentials, and coached job search. 318 enrolled across nine cohorts; 251 completed.

Bridge Placement.

Direct placement through 34 employer partners for participants who need work before they can train. 94 participants entered; 61 were placed.

Anchor Support.

Six months of post-placement coaching. Retention at six months is the number funders watch most, and it is why the organization invests here.

Methodology

How These Numbers Were Measured.

Enrollment and completion come from program records captured at each session. Placement is verified with the employer or a pay stub. Six month employment counts only participants who could be reached, and the reachable denominator is stated rather than hidden. Wages are medians of verified placements. Participants are referenced by code throughout; no personally identifying information leaves the organization’s systems.

Limitation, stated plainly

53 placed participants could not be reached at six months and are excluded from the retention rate, not counted as employed. An honest denominator is what makes the rest of this report credible.
